Just returned to my apartment after a weekend trip to visit some family. And is there a better welcome home, than new music in the mail. Two EP’s with the most wonderful and weird music I’ve heard for a long time. Somewhere in between Cat Power, Stina Nordenstam and Björk is where you’ll find Marybell Katastrophe. Apparently a one-woman project, Marie Højlund, have had help from such people as Mr. Q. of Beta Satan, and Jonas Thejsen of Ehlers/Thejsen. The end result is by far one of the most interesting things in Denmark right now. You can order her two so-called “demos” from the website by mailing her directly. They sure don’t sound like demos to me ;-)
