I have been feeling kind of weird lately. I have not been able to finish any of the things I have embarked upon, wether it be mixing, recording or writing new material. I feel like I am in a state of limbo where, no matter what I do, it is not enough to reach that critical level of artistic satisfaction, that every musician hopefully aims for. I think maybe I have to consider a change of methods. Maybe using the computer as my primary instrument of songwriting, is not the way to go anymore.
I have deletetd the two songs I have on my myspace page as well as the ones downloadable on this site. All the tracks I have posted are still here, and I have replaced my myspace songs with some of my remixes for downloading. I feel I have to wipe the slate clean when it comes to my own music. I have to approach things differently, and I have to reconsider the way I work.

take a holiday mate. go somewhere new, get some inspiration, read a new book, don’t look at the internet, go to a museum, an art gallery. you get the picture. clear your mind for a while. you’ll figure it all out (probably when you are on the bus or something). take care Garry

Yeah, I agree with Gary. It’s in a state of unawareness, that you become aware of what to do!

Kender følelsen. Overvej pt ogsÃ¥ kun at arbejde pÃ¥ Elektron maskinerne eller noget tredje. MÃ¥ske man bare skulle tage sig en slapper og vente til man ikke kan lade være igen…

Who said you h a v e to make new material? Sometimes i think musicians believe so much in the idea of getting the new material out as quick, as far and as good as possible. All this rush ends up in everything else than inspiration.
Go to the Kiribati islands in the Pacific Ocean, take a rest – and a drink in a coconut.

Listen to some jazz or classical. Add colors to your palette. Paint again.

All your advice has been duly noted and taken in to consideration. I am currently sick and forced to stay in bed so maybe my body is sorting everything out for me. I think a holiday would be a good idea probably maybe perhaps perhaps perhaps…

Hvorfor tager du ikke bare en ferietur til Rosensgade!!! Jeg er sikker på at det ville hjælpe gevaldigt på humøret:)
Kold du er

Take a day off to chill back and listen to all the old records that you’ve completely forgotten all about, even tho they essentially made you start wanting to make music.
That allways works :)
