I am just about finished with BLCK. During the weekend I will do some final mixing and tweaking so it’ll be ready by monday morning for the scheduled mastering.
The track Swaat, that I posted a demo of recently, didn’t make it onto the album. It was simply to far from the rest of the material to make sense, so you’ll have to do with the version that’s already out there. Actually a lot of tracks have been thrown out in the process of making this album. It has been one of the hardest records to make for me, ever. I feel creatively exhausted right now; a feeling that has to go away by jan 21 when we begin writing the new VETO album. It will.
Stay tuned for release dates and more soon.

MAN, I am so excited about this!! :-D
Really looking forward to hear what you got in store for us!
The SWAAT song really rocks, so if thats out of the album, then the songs must be even better there!
what is it they say, in creative process – “kill your darlings”? as cliche as that might sound, there’s something right about it sometimes!

CAN’T wait to hear it!!
And oh my mann, its great to hear that there will be another VETO album anytime “soon” :D :D

Sounds great, Troels. I’m happy that you chose to take your time, hopefully that will be reflected in the album!
I also hope that we’ll be able to get a copy via Bandcamp, like we were able to with WHT. That approach was just right, and at the end of the day it’s more money in your pocket.

Make a B-Side album?
Comment by Carsten — January 7, 2010 @ 23:00
Saw you in Lille VEGA when you were trying out some of your new material – Awesome!
Fell in love with a song called something like “Home”/”Coming home” i believe. Amazing song, really hope that made the record!
Comment by Ninni — January 7, 2010 @ 23:13
Ninni: It didn’t:-( Maybe I should make a b-sides album.
Comment by Troels Abrahamsen — January 7, 2010 @ 23:14
Carsten: maybe I should. I’ll think about it.
Comment by Troels Abrahamsen — January 7, 2010 @ 23:19
Definitely think you should do that! Would be a shame not to ;’)
Comment by Ninni — January 7, 2010 @ 23:21
yeah man, a b-side album would be so good!
i would also buy a special edition copy with a few b-sides on it!
and come to germany, man! i think we already discussed that.
All the best

Looking forward to standing with the CD in my hand, and placing it in the disc tray of my stereo!
Btw. could you do some more like “Duck, hush and be still” with VETO? That number is amazing!

Hey Troels, would you consider two masterings?
One for the iPod and one for the bouncy hifi??

Comment by Kirpus — January 8, 2010 @ 08:58
Kirpus: No I wouldn’t. Partly because it’s too expensive for a small budget like mine, and partly ’cause the gain vs. the cost is just not worth it in my opinion.

I WANT A B-SIDE ON THE CD-ALBUM ! ;)
Comment by Peter — January 8, 2010 @ 11:53
Yes! a B-side is a genius idea! It would be a shame if the other songs just floaded around on the internet in bad quality..
Comment by Anders — January 8, 2010 @ 14:14
(If they ever even got out);)
Comment by Anders — January 8, 2010 @ 14:15

Comment by sune — January 8, 2010 @ 14:51
Do a b-sides album and call it ‘GR’ for ‘Grey’ :-)
