While I’m busy at work trying to get the BLCK album finished, I thought I would release the acapella of End Scene to see what you can do with it. Though it’s not that fashionable anymore I’m still a firm believer in freedom of sampling and mixing under the artists regulations that eg. Creative Commons offers, as a supplement to the current copyright laws. So without further ado…
END SCENE A CAPELLA – 126 BPM
You can do whatever you like with it as long as you credit me or link back to this site. The only rule is that you can’t make money off of it, without my explicit permission. Respect that and you’re good to go. And oh…I’d love to hear what you’ve done with it, so please leave a link to your work in the comments.
Released under Creative Commons. Read this for the license.

Hmm.. do you have to have Quicktime Pro to download this?

@Dan Rose

@ Rasmus Von Krukkenlund
Sorry to say it but, just my words
Comment by SebastianChristensen — August 3, 2009 @ 17:22
I really like the Perry MacLeod Jensen remix. Great work.
I find the Apocalypse mix a bit too hard, but then, when getting to the end there is something that keeps me listening. Nice work!
Beautiful how something can change so much and still keep the feeling and flow of the original version.
Looking forward for more.

How about remixing your own “Switch It Off” and add some hardcore gangstarr-rap? YES?
Comment by Nicolaj S — August 5, 2009 @ 18:56
A ‘Switch it Off A Capella’ would be very appreciated!
Love the sound and feeling of this album.. Spreading the WHT love here in New Zealand!
Comment by Rasmus Meilvang — August 6, 2009 @ 11:54
I’m sorry to say that I really feel that the chorus is repeated too many times – in my opinion the track should be almost half a minute shorter.
Comment by TVR — August 8, 2009 @ 22:11
Why on earth would you waste your time on being sorry about that? If it troubles you make a personal edit of the song, to get rid of the choruses. I’m not changing it.

90 % af alle samples er fra accapella filen.

Thank you THANK YOU Sascha! Finally a mix worth listening to. I really like it, great feeling. KOOL.
Can you please make it possible to download? Please :)
Comment by Rasmus Von Krukkenlund — August 10, 2009 @ 21:35
This is really great! I already enjoyed the album probably a hundred times, and now this. I tried another approach: I did a bastard pop version together with an unfinished song of my own. Or rather: It was unfinished until yesterday. Here is my humble contribution:

Comment by Henry — August 10, 2009 @ 23:14
And yes, I also like the remixes of:
Perry MacLeod Jensen
Sascha/IchUndDieZwei
Really interesting to see how different one would interprete this song. I would never have thought about such mellow versions of it. Respect!
The Apocalypse7 remix is certainly an acquired taste, but what puzzles me most about it is that the vocals sound like if they’re out of beat and run against but not with the rhythm. Is that on purpose? It’s definitely takes away the flow that the mix would otherwise have.

@Theodor C.
Comment by Rasmus Von Krukkenlund — August 11, 2009 @ 13:19
Rasmus: Helt klart.

Damn. Takker for udfordringen.

Am I too late to join the party?!
Was itching to do a version of this as soon as I heard the original, great track!
Really great that you posted the vocal file Troels, I wish other artists felt comfortable enough/were free enough to do this more often.
Listened to all the other remixes, very interesting, but loved Sascha’s, very nice work!
You can find mine at the reverb nation web address below, enjoy!

Holm Clausen’s remix is fantastic, it sounds like experimental 80s new wave, in the vein of fever ray. A soundtrack to wandering thoughts on a stormy night. It’s the most professional of all the remixes. I can’t believe everyone ignored it, for frak’s sake.
