Download Swaat for free

I have uploaded a track called Swaat to my myspace site, and my bandcamp site as a free download. It’s also available for streaming from the player below. It’s a near final version of the song, needs a little more tweaking on the sound-side but you get the point. Hope you like it.

When You’re Ready, Let Go

Over at bandbase.dk they have a project called MixToVerdener. The goal is to see what happens when contemporary musicians get to play with classical music. I was asked to be a part of the project and I ended up with a song called “When You’re Ready, Let Go”. It’s a gloomy song with a heavy bassline.

Bjørn Svin made a track for the project as well and the whole deal is available or download at mixtoverdener.dk. Enjoy.

Not Moving

Young-Frankenstein-bh02.jpg

In my opinion, one of the most important things about being a musician is the ability and urge to experiment just for the sake of the experiment. It can seem pointless to work an entire day or week on something, just to toss it in the bin when you’re done with it, but sometimes it is the process of creating that is important and not the creation itself. Take for example a track I did called Not Moving. I spend the good part of a week on that little devil trying to create the sound I had in my head. When I finally felt that I was done, I realized that it was no masterpiece and I couldn’t use it on an album of mine. What it had in craftsmanship, it lacked in creativity, and therefore I tossed it.

So with no further ado, I present to you my first album reject “Not Moving”. It’s not half-bad if you put on your club-music-I-can-party-to-goggles, but it has no place on the album. Enjoy.

Album update + free remix

dancing.jpg

The new album is coming along great. I am writing new material and trying to find out which way I want to go on this second release of mine. I have been very much into minimal and house lately and I am trying to find a hybrid between that stuff and the more melodic tunes that I like to do so much. A lot of my hours are spent in front of the computer.

I “accidentally” made a remix of one my new songs, and I thought that I’d share it with you guys. The tune is called “Nothing Comes To Those Who Wait”. The remix is somewhat dark and gloomy, but it’ll surely get you dancing, though. Hope you like it.

End Scene

crash.jpg

Next month the giant supercollider Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland will be turned on and is ready to smash together protons at enormous speeds. This will – supposedly – give us insight into the origin of mass and particles in the universe. It’s an $8 billion project and has been underway for the last 14 years. Scientists around the world rejoice over what will probably be one of the single most revealing moments in science history.

Critics of the project have tried to shut it down, since there is a teeny weeny chance that the supercollider will create a black hole that will devour earth and most likely the universe too. Scientist and other clever folks argue over what will happen, but there is very little practical knowledge – if any at all – and many theories. Only thing one can do now is hope that the guys at CERN (who run the thing) are sure of what they are doing.

If doom is upon us in little over a months time, I wont be able to finish my new record, so here’s a sneak peak demo of one of my brand new tracks. Very appropriately it is called “End Scene” and it is all about dreaming of the end of the of the world. Hope you like it.

Turboweekend Remix

4 months ago I asked the guys in TurboWeekend if I could do a remix of “Stand” which is the closing track on their brilliant debut album “Night Shifts”. I am normally not this slow when doing remixes but this one got me bitin’ the dust. I just couldn’t finish it, and I ended up with a boring clean cut mix. So I started all over again and after three days I ended up with this. Enjoy…
