My brother was so kind as to turn my attention to the new Bon Iver album. Bon Iver is the name of american musician Justin Vernons threepiece band, and acording to wikipedia his “most notabel project to date”. I don’t know of anything else he has done, so I wouldn’t know, but I know this: “For Emma, Forever Ago” is the soundtrack to my winter. I absolutely adore this album.
The vocal production and performance bears resemblance to an act like TV On The Radio, and the music is your standard indie-country-midwestern-guitar-bass-drums-by-the-fire-by-the-lake-feeling.
These are good songs performed with moving feeling and intensity. Go buy “For Emma, Forever Ago” on iTunes or physcial at Amazon now.

This is scary. My brother tipped me about this album last weekend. I’ve been playing “Re: Stacks” on my guitar for a couple of days now. This might soubnd pretentious but “Re: Stacks” is a song that I don’t want to like that much, but I really do.

Bon Iver actually played at Voxhall and Vega in september. I went to the Voxhall-gig and I was really impressed. I wish for you that you had got to know of Bon Iver before, so you could catch one of his two acts in Denmark. My favourit Bon Iver-track must be Re: Stacks together with Skinny Love. Enjoy your winter and your winter soundtrack.

Det album er virkelig godt.. Skinny love føles så ægte! Lytter ofte til det når jeg kommer hjem om aftenen.. det er så dejligt og roligt for sjælen :)

I saw this band one time last year i think ,supporting somebody (can’t remember who know). Very good live. I guess if you like them you’ll probably be interested in Fleet Foxes as well. very good as well.
