The good folks at Ghostly International – who among others have Matthew Dear, Christopher Willits and my personal favourite Skeletons in their roster – have just released a free compilation in collaboration with Adult Swim. I love free (and good) music as much as the next one, so I of course have already downloaded it and given it a spin and it’s highly recommendable. There’s a lot of atmospheric stuff on there. I have been feeling kind of weird lately. I have not been able to finish any of the things I have embarked upon, wether it be mixing, recording or writing new material. I feel like I am in a state of limbo where, no matter what I do, it is not enough to reach that critical level of artistic satisfaction, that every musician hopefully aims for. I think maybe I have to consider a change of methods. Maybe using the computer as my primary instrument of songwriting, is not the way to go anymore.

I have deletetd the two songs I have on my myspace page as well as the ones downloadable on this site. All the tracks I have posted are still here, and I have replaced my myspace songs with some of my remixes for downloading. I feel I have to wipe the slate clean when it comes to my own music. I have to approach things differently, and I have to reconsider the way I work. Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes…

Don’t know why but I came to think of this video today. It’s a music video for Bjørn Svin’s unreleased track called “Modular Noia”. The video is directed by Niels Fyrst who also directed the first VETO video and is solely or partially responsible for the artwork for the two VETO albums. He also did the cover artwork for my 2007 album “I Know That You Know”

I really like this video and I think it’s quite representative for Niels’ style. A lot of geometry and simple, but very creative and thought trough ideas.
