Found this site a long time ago but it just hit me that I never posted it in here. The site specializes in releasing free (that’s free for ya!) records under the Creative Commons licenses. All electronic and mostly loud and wild. I found one of my all time favourite tracks “X” by Monster X on the Bedroom Research V3 compilation which is also a free download from the site. Now, go dig your own gold in there…

I did not know of this excellent documentary until the always lovely DR2 had a theme about nightlife and especially copenhagen nightlife. The flick premiered at the CPH:DOX festival two years ago but and aired for the first time on TV feb 20th 2007. Old news but still, a very fascinating movie.

These are out takes from the documentary. One from a rave at Island Brygge, Copenhagen being shut down and the other is featuring an interview with danish electronic music legend Bjørn Svin lining up how different genres can be characterized in his (rather narrow) view. I like Bjørn Svin but I can’t vouch for everything he says.
