Summary…

Just wanted to wish everyone a very merry christmas (if you celebrate it) and a happy new year.

The last year has been amazing and I’ve met so many interesting people and even got to travel a bit. Been to the states twice, both times with VETO and also played some gigs in Sweden, Finland and Germany too. I think we’ve done well over 60 concerts this year, so for now we’re trying to write some new material, cause we want to do another record. Don’t know how long it will be before it’s done or what we will put on there, but I hope you’ll wait patiently for it…

Also had the chance to perform at Roskilde which was an amazing experience. Every boyhood dream just came true in an instance. The crowd, the energy and the time was just right, and we couldn’t have wished for a better debut on this legendary festival.

Just picked up the master for my album, “I Know That You Know”, this morning and hot diggity am I excited. It’s the accumulation of 6 months of re-mixing old material and writing new tunes. Old and new in perfect harmony ;-). Hope it will be received well when I let it go on the 26th of march, and you can put THAT in your calendar and smoke it!

Well anyways, this is probably going to be the last post this year, and I’ll see you all next year for some nice new features (let me hear you say po-po-po-podcast).
And maybe even some extra treats for the really loyal ones of you.
Ta-ta until then…

Funny thing: On Christmas eve, the 24th it’s exactly one year since I posted the first entry in this blog. Ha ha ha ha ha. And we laughed all night…

Genlyd Lydgen

Anders-1
One man project consisting of Anders Bach out of Epicentre. If you’re into Efterklang and the likes, this is for you. Big and dreamy soundscapes, syncopated rythms and quirky vocals. I know I like it. Download “Lignelse” first…

“Ungeren Bli’r” live on TV

No Name 164340C-1
Okay, I hope everyone that is supposed to be safe, is safe, cause right now I’m seeing the city I live in, go up in flames.
The streets are burning because of a house.
Peoples stores are burned down because of a house.
Things are getting way out of hand because of a house.
No Name 164344C-1
I know that it’s not the house, but the principles behind it they’re fighting for. But rage is taking over and sense is pushed out of the way. I hope it finds it’s way back to both the government and the people of this country.

And why is the only channel covering this TV2 news. Goddamn their shallow news coverage…

New Eraser remixes

200612121215
Thom Yorke has posted some remixes on theeraser.net. There are two remixes to put you in the right christmas spirit. The first one is done by Surgeon whom I do not know that well but his website is here. The second one is down by Various Productions. You might remember Various for their album The World Is Gone which you should go buy if you don’t already have it.

HellraiserTen

Hellraiserten-1
Saw these guys live at Loppen in Copenhagen last friday. It was a nice concert and the crowd seemed to enjoy it too, even though I was told that you couldn’t see that from the stage. It was not so much the show that captured my interest, as it was the way that Jacob and Jonas who make up HellraiserTen, really understands how to translate their corky and fragile soundscapes to their live perfomance. Especially the song “Ankle” which you can find on their myspace site, is worth a mention. At the end of the show I got my hands on one of their demos, which is very cleverly designed. It’s really an old floppy disk which is cut open and used as a CD-case, and decorated with a nice sticker.

My brother pointed me to gUiLLeMoTs myspace site, urging me to hear two tracks especially. So now I urge you to do the same. Go to myspace.com/guillemotsmusic and hear Madeup Lovesong 43 and Trains To Brazil. Two very lovely songs, to accompany you and keep you warm in the colder times ahead. By the way they are on Fantastic Plastic Records who have a website, where you can also buy gUiLLeMoTs stuff (which you should do).

Tracklists Are From Hell

“Maybe if I put this one before this one, and then the other one back where it was originally?”

I’ve been in this mess before, when we had to put together “There’s A Beat In All Machines”. The EP was easier cause it only had five songs, but as soon as you go beyond five or six, it’s a downright motherfucker to get through.

“This song should go here and then this one here, and maybe this one shouldn’t even be on the album?”

I am mixing my record this week and now I have some serious trouble with the track list. I like the songs individually, but when putting together an album the songs have to work together too, and right now they just won’t. SHIT! I am no Pink Floyd or The Flaming Lips, with their concept albums and perfect matching songs. I don’t know how people will react to the album, cause frankly, I’ve been listening to the songs just a little too much lately, and that tends to mess with your objectivity. I have some friends coming over today to help me sort it out. Oh please let them sort it out…

Hey, at least I know what to call the album… ;-)
